Sound Art Installation

I came across a gem of a story, the laughter of Yeltsin and Clinton after the fiftieth anniversary of the crisis-ridden UN, New York 1995. An iconic moment, the two representatives of the most powerful and opposing nations inadvertently reveal themselves in a troubling intimacy, an improbable fusion, an uncontrollable laughter. I associated their laughter with other laughter, drawing from all horizons, without limits… The result: a universal laughter, a true, fusional, irreverent act, and so communicative.

R)RE is an interactive sound installation that leads the listener on a journey whose source is unknown to them (acousmatic situation). Hostage to a laughter that brings people together, triggered by leaders of all kinds, for reasons as diverse as there are individuals, R)RE invites us to participate in this evolving universal laughter. Thus, everyone can record their own laughter, at the moment when they can no longer contain it, engraving the evolving work with their sonic imprint.
